A simple to set up app that lets you use virtual cards with real poker chips. Say you wanted to play in person with your friends & love the feel of chips but hate shuffling cards. Local Poker will automatically shuffle and deal out hole cards to each player's phones with the 5 community cards displayed on the iPad.
No internet connection required, although network access is.
Hole card viewing works on both Android and iOS but unfortunately only iPadOS is supported for the main app.
Originally made as an incredibly simple heads up card shuffler to speed up heads up play, now after more than a year of development it supports full ring games, proper graphics, and other poker QoL improvements.
This remains the longest worked on project in my programming career & I hope it shows :)
And for the developers...
I also had to learn SwiftUI from scratch as I started and completed 95% of this app on Swift Playgrounds, but I did have some prior experience with UIKit + Storyboards.
There is quite literally zero data collected. No analytics, ad trackers, anything.
The app is licensed, not sold, to you as per Apple's EULA.
